Little Black Dress Iniatiative (LBDI)
The challenges of mental health can be invisible to others, but the stigma is real and can have a huge impact on perception of self and self-esteem.
Visit Canada Helps to donate.
We hope to step a bit outside our comfort zones and bring attention to mental health and the stigma surrounding it by using the little black black dress as a visual aid. Help us make stigma unfashionable!
Celebrating 90 Years of Service
The Junior League of Toronto is celebrating 90 years of volunteerism and training our members to become civic leaders in the GTA. Watch our 90th Anniversary video (below) to learn more!
“What has occurred in the League’s 90 years of service is simply incredible. As an organization, we will use this year to reflect and celebrate our accomplishments while at the same time, building the capacity of our organization for the next 90 years.” ~Stephanie Knox, JLT president.
International Women's Day is March 8, 2017- A great success
The March 8th Junior Leagues IWD celebration was a great success. From the movie SOLD we learned about the global problem of Sex Trafficking. Jennifer Keeler of Chantel's Place and Julie Neubauer brought us a local perspective and explained their workplaces role in helping the victims. The Q and A allowed the audience to voice their concerns and questions. Good food, wine, and women discussing a relevant issue made for a stimulating evening.
A wonderful article on P.L.E.N.T.Ys lifestyle magazine blog by Nathalie Foy gave their readers a comprehensive look at this issue and a great shout out to the League.
Thanks to everyone involved for making this evening a success.

"A constant for me is my affiliation with the Junior League. The League for me is my oasis of like-minded family and friends with whom we share values and a vision of tomorrow."
I find the League will always stand behind its members and we carry on...together...that's just what we do. The support and caring we have for one another is what strengthens our resolve and is exactly what I know Mary Harriman would have done as well". ~Martie Russel AJLI 2016 Mary Harriman Community Leadership
