Meet Some of our Civic Leaders

At the heart of the JLT’s mission is its focus on developing the potential of women to be effective civic leaders,  unique among charitable organizations in the GTA and throughout the world. It provides formal and experiential training in governance, finance, fundraising, community projects and member management in the non-profit sector.

The JLT is committed to developing the potential of women volunteers and to being a leading force in meeting community needs through direct service projects and programs. The Junior League provides hands-on training as well as experiential opportunities to develop and enhance leadership skills. This includes experience on League committees and projects, volunteer roles in the community, JLT training workshops, and international conferences by our parent organization, The Association of Junior Leagues International.  A variety of placement options are available to League members every year, each offering a unique learning experience that provides them with personal growth and leadership development.
