Training and Events

Training women to become community leaders is in our DNA. Ever since 1901 when our founder, Mary Harriman, taught her friends how to work with tenement families on the Lower East Side. The Toronto Junior League has been committed to developing leadership skills. Today our volunteers learn through a variety of innovative, hands-on training programs.

The Junior League of Toronto is a training organization committed to developing the potential of women and equipping volunteers who will give back to their communities. We hold various training events throughout the year focusing on the competencies identified by the AJLI as being important for women leaders. This year, we look forward to hosting several training events and workshops, including a panel discussion on the history of the Junior League and an interactive training session on presentation skills for women.
