Training and Events
Training women to become community leaders is in our DNA. Ever since 1901 when our founder, Mary Harriman, taught her friends how to work with tenement families on the Lower East Side. The Toronto Junior League has been committed to developing leadership skills. Today our volunteers learn through a variety of innovative, hands-on training programs.
The Junior League of Toronto is a training organization committed to developing the potential of women and equipping volunteers to give back to our communities. We hold various training events throughout the year. Our cornerstone event is our annual Women’s Leadership Development Conference, free for all members to attend. This conference combines the JLT values— hearing and representing a diversity of voices and perspectives — with leadership perspectives for women, personally, professionally and in the community.
